Word document unreadable - encoding?
Hello, I am new to the forum as i usually never have any problems with Office or any of its utilities.
I recently had the omega-plus virus on my computer which i could not remove, so decided to reinstall everything and start again. Obviously i backed up all my precious documents to an external HDD and everything was working fine until i completed the reinstall and wanted to access my documents. When i try to open most of my documents the select document encoding box appears and no matter what i have tried (like 6 hrs of trying) i cannot make the document readable in any way, shape or form. If anyone can help, or point me in the right direction, then it would be most appreciated. I will include more information on my next post, is it acceptable to upload one of my documents to see if anyone else can manage to read it? thank you Nige |
