Hi,

I'm and older student using a required Word document form from my university, but these - I don't know the correct terminology - tables? text boxes? cells? - seems to keep appearing in my bibliography and I can't rid myself of them so my bibliography subsequently looks like hell.

I've tried deleting them and can't. Since I don't want to start the whole document over (it is quite lengthy) I would like to just remove them but can't figure out how. I've attached a portion of the document so you can see....

Anyone able to help me? With much gratitude, Alex, Toronto

The lines are paragraph borders. Select the text, click the arrow on the border button in the Paragraph group on the Home tab and choose No Border.

In your example document, border lines have been applied as direct formatting (on top of the formatting defined by the paragraph style) so you can also get rid of it by selecting the text and pressing Ctrl+Q.

Ctrl+Q runs the ResetPara command, which clears any paragraph formatting that isn't present in the paragraph style(s) applied to the selected paragraphs.
