Creating a fillable form
In attempting to create a fillable form, I followed all of the instruction under the help and support tab on a blank document in word. Everything looking pretty good, I tried to copy and paste onto my web site page but in doing so, lost all of my "click here to enter text", download picture, etc. It is now just words with no ability to interact with the web site page. I am new at this so if you have any tips for me, I would greatly appreciate it.
My web site is not yet live. Just in case that has anything to do with it. Thanks for your input. |

A Word form and a HTML form are very different - you can't just copy one and paste into the other and expect the form elements to work the same way.
Your best solution would be to forget about using Word to create your HTML forms and use whatever software you use for the rest of your website. If you are desperate to use Word then you should do the Word form so it is working correctly and then add a link on your website that downloads the Word file itself. This way, the website users will be able to open the file in Word (instead of a browser) and get to the form functionality.
