Have to click View > Edit Document every time I open my file?
I recently created some forms that I need to use frequently and quickly. For some reason every time it opens now, its in a mode that does not allow editing and if you try it says at the bottom "This modification is not allowed because the document is opened for viewing only."
Having to click View>>Edit Document creates an annoying, time-consuming step that I don't want to deal with every time I use the file. I am working on a workplace network (not sure if that's relevant). And the form is based on a prior version of a non-form document that doesn't open with these restrictions. Apparently it only happens to the form versions I've edited recently. Could use some help. Thanks. |

See if "Read-only recommended" has been selected in the General options dialog box.
To open the dialog: In the Save As dialog box (F12), click the Tools drop down, and then click General Options.
