How to find and close dialog box in Word 2010?
I cannot close or use Word because I get a message that a dialog box is open. |

Have you opened the Word window and closed the offending dialogue box? Other than that, and without knowing more detail, the best I can suggest is that you kill the Word session via the Windows Task Manager (you can start it via Ctrl-Alt-Del). Do note that doing this risks losing any unsaved work.

I have seen Word sometimes do this. The dialog box is probably sitting behind an open window. I think you can navigate to it by using Alt-Tab to cycle through the open applications.
The tricky part is working out what is causing the dialog to appear in the first place.

Thanks guys. The trouble was that I couldn't find the dialogue box. I've managed to get out of it now.
