Word updating Excel links automatically
I use Office 2013 and Windows 7. My Word file has links to an Excel file in the same folder on my local drive, and those links are set to "Manual". Whenever I open or close the Word file when the Excel file is NOT also open, Word opens/closes that Excel file multiple times apparently trying to update the links? How can I prevent this from happening in the future?
