PDF Links in Word - Do they have to open in Acrobat?

Hi,

I would like to open PDF links from Word in the internet browser.

Currently the PDF link opens in Acrobat. Is there a way to have it open in a browser?

It is a link to a PDF document on the web server. Acrobat opens the PDF, but it is a locally stored file, in a Windows temp folder, instead of the actual file on the web server.

On your own PC you can associate PDF files with any application capable of opening them. You cannot do the same for anyone else who might open them. Right click a PDF file from Windows Explorer > Open with and set the default application.
