Windows Vista docx open at upper left of monitor

docx open at upper left of monitor

Has been happening for at least the last few months. Not all of them do, some open where they were closed, which I'd strongly prefer. Notepad and every other program on Vista is reasonable about where they open.

What kind of complication do I have here?
