Index Numbering
I have multiple sections in my 500 page document. Each section (chapter) has page numbering starting again at 1.
The TOC looks great and is exactly as I need it. The Index however, I can only get to show the page number, which is not very useful as the item I am looking for may in fact be on page 10, but page 10 of which chapter. I have spent too many hours trying to find this solution. Is there a way I can get the index to show chapter number and page number? |

You can get the page numbers in the TOC and Index to include the chapter number if you set each section's page numbering that way. To do this go to Insert > Page Number > Format Page Numbers > Include Chapter Number. You will need to get the numbers to include the Heading 1 numbering. This will need to be repeated for every section.
You can define the page number field in the footer differently if you don't want them to display the same way.
