It seems as if you have inadvertently included the paragraph mark (¶) when you created the AutoCorrect entry. Recreate the entry, making sure that you do not include the paragraph mark this time.

To show/hide nonprinting marks, click the ¶ button on the Home tab.

Note that not including the paragraph when you select text in a paragraph might be tricky. It will be simpler if you first clear the "Use smart paragraph selection" at File tab | Options | Advanced.
