Default Cursor disappears while entering text

I'm an author and use word extensively daily. I am annoyed that the cursor disappears from the typed page when I am editing. Is there any way of fixing it so that it remains visible while I am editing?

This really isn't a Word issue but is an issue of how your mouse is configured. Many mice, including those from Microsoft, come with configuration software that allows you to display or hide the pointer while typing. I suggest you check yours.

Default Cursor disappears only in Word

But, the cursor is visible in my Thundbird e-mail, and on Internet sites. But not visible in MS Word on my Mac. So, is there no way in Word to change this?
