Line break between en dash and number

Dear all,

I have the following problem:

I have a negative number at the end of a line:
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx –20
and word separates the en dash (ALT0150) and the number like this:
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx –
20

I need the en dash and not a protected hyphen (Ctrl Shift -) and want the symbol and the number within the same line.
