How to restrict formatting of styles but enable section breaks? |

You will probably have to make use of a macro for that.
By the way, why do you need section breaks? Please elaborate on what you are trying to do.

I have a document (long one) with predefined styles. I want the users to use only these styles and at the same time I don´t want them to be able to change the given styles (alignment, indentation, spacing, colour, etc.). But when I restrict formatting and then I need to insert section breaks–next page (because I need to change page orientation) it´s not possible. After using formatting restrictions the „Breaks“ tab in Page layout is greyed out.

As you have noticed, any kind of document protection, even styles/formatting protection, assumes that you want to limit editing of the document as well. As I wrote, a macro can be used. You could also ask yourself if protecting the document is really necessary. Perhaps teaching the users to apply styles properly would suffice?
