Section Breaks
Hi Guys
Dont know if this is possible? I am currently designing a Tariff Analysis Proposal Template in Word for our sales team to use. I have designed a simple four section word document with different header and footers created by Section Breaks. Is there any way of protecting these section breaks so the sales team cannot accidently delete a section break while inserting information into the template for their proposals. Unfortunately the sales team are not that literate so if these are deleted it would be a call to me to sort it out, something I am trying to get away from |

While I have no idea what your template is designed to do, in principle what you need is to protect your document with a password. You will find Protect Document on the Developer tab as well as on the Review tab; use either. after clicking on Restrict Editing, second from the top is "Allow only this type of editing," with various choices, including "Read only" and "Filling in forms". Select the approrpiate choice for your needs and click on Start Protection, below. You will be prompted for a password. DON'T LOSE IT!!
Does that solve your problem? |
