Default Deleting a spare page without altering format

I'm (very) new to WORD and have been given the (what I thought would be simple) task at work, of deleting a page after a contract was condensed from 4 pages to 3.

Firstly, our company logo is at the top of the 4th page. Whenever I delete this, it messes up the format on page 3.

Secondly, I have tried in vain but just cannot seem to find a way to delete this page I do not need

Please can someone help with this. Im at my wits end.

James

Turn on display of non-printing formatting marks. Delete empty paragraphs at the end of your document. (Best guess)

As Charles has said, you do need to show the full content of the file (not just the characters that print) to work these things out.

I suspect you are removing a section break and the page setup and headers/footers from the last section then flood back over (what was) the preceding section.

There are no 'pages' in a Word document, which is at the root of your problem. Word is not a page layout application. Text is flowed between the margins in a variety of 'story ranges'. Think in terms of a pile of transparencies each contributing to the whole. Change one part and it has a knock-on effect on the rest.

Your document appears to have either multiple sections, or it has page formatting that includes different headers. You cannot willy nilly remove header information without giving consideration to the underlying document structure.

If you can post a copy of your document to the forum ('go advanced' and attach) we would be better placed to advise. Delete or change any sensitive or personal information first.
