Hi, can anyone help me please?


I was trying to format my friend's thesis, but the document he send me has this weird box in the upper right corner of EVERY page. It's not a text box, it's not a inserted shape or image. I tried everything to delete it and can't find anything about it online... Does anyone knows what this problem is and how can I get rid of it?

(I have captions of it but I wasn't able to post them here)

Without actually seeing the problem document, it can be difficult for anyone to diagnose the issue. Can you attach a document to a post with some representative data (delete anything sensitive)? You do this via the paperclip symbol on the 'Go Advanced' tab at the bottom of this screen.

It looks like a frame. Can you select it? It could be in the header view as a frame in the header will still wrap text in the body and you might need to use the Select Object arrow on the home tab.

If you can select it, you should be able to delete it.

that's the thing, I'm not able to select it. It's not a regular text box.

Simply open the page header and click anywhere in the box - it's a rectangular autoshape in the header - then press Delete.

dear, I tried that many times. It's not working. I tried on my Mac, I tried on Windows, I tried on my tablet. I'm not able to select it.

Never mind, a friend figured it out for me. Thanks for your help.
