Want to search for "class", replacing with document property
Have been scrubbing the Internet for days for instructions on doing a series of advanced search and replace in Word 2007.
Example: find SOME instances of the world "class", replacing them with a document property { DOCPROPERTY Class \* MERGEFORMAT}. The original text "class" is plain text. Finding it is easy. Getting the replacement to become a property is baffling me. Not every occurrence of "class" gets replaced, so I need to make a word-by-word decision here. Can do search, control-F9, paste, a manual fix-up, and search again. But this is excessively painful. |
