Default Exporting Grouped Shapes

Hey guys.

I am using MS Word 2011 for Mac. I have created a logo out of grouped shapes & text boxes. I now need to export my logo as an image file with a transparent background (preferably a .gif or similar).

Can anyone help me with this. I have googled everything I can thin of and non of the recommended ways seem to work for me (Copy/Paste Special, Save as a Web doc, Save As a Zip file and then extract images)

many thanks,
Josh

If you have access to PowerPoint, here is a link to how you may remove the white background. It is a little tricky but, may be worth a try.

Hope this helps...

Hey Jim. Thanks for this;

I think you have misunderstood; the background removal technique you have proposed is available is Word itself but is not what I am looking for. I need to;

1. Export a selection of Grouped Shapes as ONE image
2. make sure the exported image has a transparent background

Have you got any ideas?

Well, I am not familiar with that process in any version of Word (for Windows). Now, if it is a process in MS Word 2011 for Mac...you would know moreso than I.

With that in mind, there is a forum for Word for Mac that may be of help at: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/m...11?tab=Threads.

Beyond that, I don't think I can help. Sorry.

May thanks (yes it is for Word 2011 for Mac); I just spoke to Microsoft Support and we figured out a workaround...

You have to copy the Group of Shapes/textboxes/images etc, to Powerpoint. Make sure the composition is still Grouped once copied to Powerpoint and then right-click on the Group and the "Save As Picture" option will now be available (not like in word where it is greyed out).
