It appears Word's Normal.dotm file is damaged. The Sticky 'Word 2007 & Later Key Data File Locations' thread at the top of this forum shows how to locate it. Simply delete or rename the file.
Having done that, I suggest you also repair the Office installation (via Programs > Programs & Features > Microsoft Office > Change in the Windows Control Panel).

I found the file, it was really hidden, and I deleted it. Now I can open Word with no problem.
It is not very clear to me how to repair the Office installation. Can you give me a more detailed guidance of how to do it? I am not a "computer guy"  I have Window 7. Thank you again!!!!!
