I have a fairly large doc (about 175 pages).
Update all references is not working for me. I select all (control A) and hit F9. It gives me a popup asking about the Table of Contents and List of figures -- do I want to just update the page numbers or the entire table(s). I say just the page numbers (although I've tried the other response as well). The page numbers in my x refs (in the body of the document) to not get updated. I'm talking about things like "see section X.x on page xx". The page numbers do not get updated when I hit that control A, F9. if I select a smaller amount of text, say a page or so at a time and hit F9, the references DO get updated. But when it is select all (control a), even though the text is selected, the xrefs do not get updated. I've also tried the "print preview" method of updating all the references but that does not work either. VERY FRUSTRATING!!!!! What gives? is this a bug? has anyone else seen this? any way to fix it? the only thing I can do now is update each page one at a time. Please let me know if you have any insight into this problem. thanks. gary in Vermont. |
