Question 2010: The word is unable to check the English spelling for a particular file,

2010: The word is unable to check the English spelling for a particular file,

I couldn’t figure out why the Word is not able to check the English spelling and says “the spelling and grammar check is complete” while errors are not identified. This problem arises only for the attached file but it works for other files properly.

What might affect the attached file to be not checked properly?

Thank you

Best

Jamal

Default

Every character in a Word document can have its own individual proofing characteristic.

The text in your document is marked with the no-proofing option. Select the text and apply the required language and uncheck the 'Do not check spelling' check box. Note that the text is formatted with the Normal paragraph style which also has the no proofing option set, which is probably why the problem occured in the first place. See attached:

Rather than use the default style with manual formatting, create styles that reflect the formatting that you wish to use and apply it to the paragraphs.
