page number distance from bottom

Hi,

I need urgent help with formatting.

The problem is the college demands bottom margin to be 1 inch, and at the same time demands page number to be placed 1 inch from the bottom.

is this possible?



I have already made the document and when I increase the distance for the page number from the bottom using Design > Footer from Bottom then part of the written sentences are overridden and therefore not visible.

How can I solve this?

If the page number is inside the bottom margin (i.e. in the footer), no, it is not possible. Not possible if you hand write it or do it on a typewriter, either.

So, I am assuming they either want

1. the page number separate from the text and one inch from the bottom... or
2. the bottom of the text one inch from the bottom and the page number somewhat below that.

You may want to check with your professor on which. Either are possible to do.
