Default Trying to UNDO Formatting

I was trying to correct a problem with words splitting in the middle at the end of a line and I went to: Page Layout --> Breaks --> Text Wrapping.

I selecting "text wrapping" (which I thought would correct my problem) but instead it puts "markings" at the four corners of my document. Now I am just trying to "undo" what I just did but cannot figure it out. AND, that STILL did not solve my problem of words splitting at the end of a line. Any help on either of these problems is MUCH appreciated!!

If (long) words are splitting as opposed to being moved to the next text line, there might be a problem with the font. Try using a different font. Another possibility is that the document is damaged; see if Open and Repair makes a difference.

All of the commands at the Page Layout | Breaks drop down insert different types of breaks in a Word document; none of these would fix the problem you are describing.

It is words that are splitting... (if the word is too long for the margin, it is supposed to move the entire word to the next line... NOT split it). That is what is so frustrating! I did try several different fonts and that didn't help.

In re the "commands at Page Layout": In Outlook 13, there is also a drop down that says, "text wrapping." That is the one I am having a problem with. It sounded like it might be an answer to my problem of words splitting on the line so I "clicked" on it and now it has put these "markings" on EVERY Word document I have... not just the one that I was trying to correct the text wrapping on. Most everything works as a toggle switch but I cannot find any way to "toggle" out of this mess. Any other suggestions?

Since changing the font didn't help, you may have to treat the document as corrupt.

I'm not sure what kind of marks you are referring to... Could you post a screen shot or an example document in the forum?

The Breaks commands in Word add breaks, so they won't help. I'm not sure which option in Outlook you are referring to. Could you expand on that?

Here's a PIC of the top of the document and it's the same way at the bottom. And, it's on every document. It's as though it is now part of the "normal" template. Also, as I stated in my 1st post, I went to "Page Layout --> Breaks --> Text Wrapping". When I clicked on "text wrapping is when these marks appeared on every document (and at bottom also). I thought it would just be a toggle but not so. Hmmm, my PIC didn't show up. I'll have to try sending it again.
