Default how to stop Word 10 embeding images

I am experiencing a problem with my Word 10 . Orginally if i inserted a Picture specifying a web address on my webserver. It would link the image to this file. Changing the image would put the link in the box.

Now when i insert an image in same way and go back and edit the picture the location of the picture is blank.

If I save my file as html Word 10 now creates a folder with the images that i put in the word document in a little folder next to the file. This is very annoying and unnecessary. Has anyone a solution to this please as am pulling out my hair.

I want to have them not embeded so I can paste my document into an email so that the images will come from my webserver
