help with citations styles, xsl file format

I have a set of reference styles that I need to use, but they are only available in the .os (Reference Manager) and .ens (EndNote) formats. I need the .xsl format that is used by the MS word citation manager.

Is there any way to convert the .os or .ens format to the .xsl word format? I don't have access to either Reference Manager or EndNote right now and the publisher does not appear to have the reference styles available in the .xsl format.

I am using Microsoft Office 2010.

Any suggestions?

I imagine a macro could be used to do the conversion but, without knowing the specifications for both formats, that isn't going to happen.

You also need to be aware that Word's implementation of at least some citation/bibliography formats is faulty. Chicago is a particular problem - it has two formats and Word supports only one - that conforms to neither.

Thank you for your reply. Since the .XSL format is not available, the publisher has agreed to take care of formatting the references on their own, so I am off the hook. I have never understood why there needs to be some many formats in the first place, or given that there are dozens of standard formats already, why publishers don't at least use one of the standards.

I would think that a tool to convert formats for the standard style files would be a good idea, but I guess the vendors that create the style files don't have much vested interest in converting to someone else's format.
