Hi. I recently made some documents with very narrow margins, so that the the text was right at the top of the page. Now, if I open a new document, the text starts right at the top of the page, and however much I change the margins, the text won't start any lower. Is there some sort of global template I need to change?
Incidentally, I tried reinstalling and this hasn't helped. Thanks in advance Scott |

Check out your Spacing:
Home > Paragraph Group > Arrow in the lower right of this Group > Play around here, starting with zero in Before and After |

thanks, it sort of helps, in that the first paragraph will now start in the right place if I select before = 42pt, but now there are huge gaps between the paragraphs.
i have noticed the problem can be cured in two ways 1) opening a file that has correct spacing, deleting all the text and then working or 2) adding then removing a header. |

Home > Paragraph group > Backward P click > then delete the backward P's to get paragraph spacing correct

If no one provides a solution, post a sample document without any personal stuff
You can fill a page by doing the following: =rand(3,2) <Enter> The 3 is the # of paragraphs, while the 2 is the # of sentences in a paragraph |
