Word 2007 Color Charts Print in Grayscale
I was sent a document to proof and when I print it to a color printer all the color charts come out in grayscale or black and white. What's up with that? I have tried multiple color printers on my network and they all produce the same result. Thanks.

Colors
Go into Word Options from the Office button, then select the Advanced page on the left, and scroll down to see if you have the first box under Print checked, the one that says "Use draft quality." If so, uncheck it. Try printing, and I think you'll see color again.
Does this solve your problem? |

Color printing...
Nope, that box was not checked. In the mean time, the owner of the document deleted all the graphs and brought them back in to the docuemnt as Metafiles instead of Excel objects and that fixed it. But, I can't believe that solution is the overall solution. I would think that the graphs should print in color no matter what their makeup. Thanks for the suggestion.

Excel
When you said color charts in your first post, you didn't mention that they were Excel. I suspect that in Excel's page set-up, on the Sheet tab, Print Draft or B&W was checked.

Color printing...
Ahhhh, that is a distinct possibility. I will have the author check his Excel settings. We may have a winner!!! Thanks!
