Hi all,
I hope you can help. I have searched but I am not sure if I am using the correct terms. I am trying to make a template that forces the user to classify the document when first opened (Confidential, Private, etc.). Process: Open template > Presented with 4 classification options > Select 1 option > Option displays in the footer or on the bottom of the page. Is this possible? Regards Oliver |

First, a nit to pick, but an important one: You use a template by creating a new document based on the template, not by opening it. This matters.
Templates in Microsoft Word There are several ways to do what you want. The most user-friendly and elegant is to have a UserForm that gathers the information and populates your document. Create a Simple Userform This requires use of vba (macros). |
