Default Adding tab's add-in items to the quick acess toolbar

I can't add items from add-in tab to quick acess bar. i just see 3 things when try to add - "custom toolbar" and "toolbar commands". I can't add add-in items also through macroses but i can assign shortcut for them. Is there any clue to add them to the quick acess toolbar?

Sorry, added not in right topic, Please transfer that thread in the "Word"

The Add-Ins Tab is a stop-gap transition measure. Its purpose is to allow use of older Add-Ins in Ribbon Versions of Word.

It has two built-in groups: Menu Commands and Custom Toolbars. You can place these groups on the QAT. Individual commands can be put on the QAT but not from the custom toolbars.

You can, using XML, modify the Ribbon and put tabs of your own with your own menus on them. You can copy these to the QAT.
Modifying the QAT and Ribbon in Microsoft Word
Customize the Ribbon (It doesn't take rocket science)

Take a look at the CC⁄V⁄BM & DP Tools Add-in which makes a modification to the Add-Ins tab. Controls added there, through XML, can be added easily to the QAT by right-clicking on them.

Greg Maxey's pages give examples of doing this. First there is a host of available icons built into Word (although not in the modify the QAT dialog). These are easy to add if you know their names by modifying the XML for the QAT. Otherwise, you have to add the icon to a Ribbon Tab (perhaps not displayed in final production) and copy them from there to the QAT.

I'm glad you find it simple. i find it a pleasant puzzle to work out; but then I'm a lawyer, not a programmer.

Is there a way to add add-in commands to the specified tab as i can to do to qat? For qat i just can to set name of addin's macros in word.qat. For example "SpeakFromCursor" of WordTalk addin. But for tab's button i need to edit macros to add (control as ribbon). But i can't edit addin's macroses...

"While tinkering with the contents of this page, Wisconsin attorney and regular Word support group contributor, Charles Kenyon discovered that custom screentip and supertip attributes could also be used to enhance the user QAT experience..."

That is about you

Editing tabs is an order of magnitude more complex than is editing the QAT. In Word 2007 the only thing that can be done is major XML work.

Thank you for noticing Greg's remarks.
