Default Master Document: Automatically Expand Subdocuments upon opening

Greetings!

I just started working with master documents. The reason is that we have a fairly in-depth file system, and a separate word document in each folder that describes the contents of that folder. I'm hoping that a master document will allow us to view all of the documents at a single point (making it easier to search and making sure we don't forget about data).

I would like to open the master document and have all of the subdocuments automatically expand, but right now it's just showing the links to the subdocuments. Does anyone know how I can switch the default to expand subdocuments?

Thank you!

If you value your work, don't use Master documents!. See:

Your fellow users would love to tell you how to make the best use of the Master Documents "Feature" but that would be like teaching a ten-year-old how to use old dynamite. It would be irresponsible given the inherent dangers of the product.

This simile is hyperbole, in that damage to life and limb is unlikely. On the other hand, damage to a career is probable. People tend to use this with books, theses, or other major projects. It can destroy the entire project.
