I’m using Windows 8.1, and “Speak” in my Office 2013 Word and in my Home and Student 2010 Word has stopped working.
The “Speak” button in the Quick Access toolbar gets a red circle with an “x” in it when I click on it. Narrator still works, and when I click on Control Panel/Speech Recognition/Text to Speech, I can preview (listen to) and change Text to Speech voices, but again, they won’t work on Office 2013 or on Home and Student 2010.
