Default can't remove box

Help please - can't remove this box - is it a text box? - from WORD 2013 document on Windows 8.



Can type in it

Can't select it

deleting rows above and below it doesn't delete it

Can you attach a document to a post containing just the object and whatever is in its immediate vicinity? You do this via the paperclip symbol on the 'Go Advanced' tab at the bottom of this screen. That would make it much easier to diagnose.
