Sometimes I find that I want more lines on the page so I drag the bottom margin down and nothing happens, I can't get more lines. Other times it works like I would expect. Why the difference? Sometimes the top margin is the saem. I want more lines so I try to push the text up the page by raising the top margin. Zilch.

Margins are a property of Sections not pages. I know this is counterintuitive.
It may have to do with formatting of your last paragraph. Is it formatted to "keep lines together?" You can also adjust the spacing between paragraphs and within paragraphs as well as the left and right indents. Also you can adjust the font size. |

Now that's very intruiging. I didn't know that. I had put a heading across the page followed by a continuous break followed by two columns. I then found a problem adjusting the columns and took out the break. This didn't cure the problem, and then you came along. So I set it up again without any breaks and voila! It works.
Thanks a bundle, Charles. |
