On tracked changes - Word merges multiple authors into one "author" when the document is sent to me
Hi
Re tracked changes - when a document with multiple authors is sent to me, even from inside my company, all the authors combine into one author and I only get one set of colours. This is not only due to viewing preferences, but the authors' names actually all change to the single "author". I need a way to stop this from happening everytime I get a multi-authored document sent to me. Thanks. |

What you describe suggests that someone has run the Document Inspector and removed personal information (such as user names); doing that once will make Word continue to remove personal information when you save and reopen the document. Do the following: Click File | Options | Trust Center | Trust Center Settings | Privacy Options. Clear "Remove personal information from file properties on save." Click OK twice.
