I have Word 2010 and recently created a fillable form. I added a drop down list via the legacy tools then started protection to allow filling in forms only. I can tab up to this new drop down list but not beyond. To go to the next text field I have to use the mouse. Why can't I tab past this new drop down list? I'm getting complaints from the employees. Thanks!

Your description suggests you have a mix of content controls and legacy formfields in the same document. These are not designed to work together and can produce the effects you are seeing. Solution: Use one or the other.

Actually, I used all legacy controls.

The behaviour suggests otherwise - the dropdown will be the likely culprit, especially if its default text reads 'choose an item'.
