I have created a word document that copies data from a spreadsheet in the same subdirectory. These fields are protected - the user can only edit a couple of text boxes in the document.
The problem is that, because parts of it are protected, the document opens in a 'protected' mode (I have to hit escape to open the document fully) and it does not copy over the data from the spreadsheet. When the document is unprotected I get the "this document refers to links..." pop-up and the data transfers properly, but then the user is able to edit that data, which I don't want. I did change the trust centre settings and saved the files onto my C drive (rather than the corporate network) but that did not fix the problem. Does anybody know what is causing this and how I can have the file open the way that I want it to, even when parts of it are protected. Thanks John |
