I tried this, to no avail. Why doesn't this work for me? Is there a special character code to enter in the replace field for the smart quotes? I already had the autocorrect set to smart quotes (instead of French guillemets) before I started on my translation, but they came out straight anyway. I am using a French AZERTY keyboard, but with the language set to US English. I hoped to correct it afterwards but neither search & replace nor a VBA code I found on another forum seem to work.

Thanks in advance for any help!
Dagmara
