Copy Toolbar Icons into tutorial document
Hi
I have been asked by my company to write some tutorials on using word 2010 and obviously want to use screen shots... this is not a problem, but I am wondering if there is an easier way to grab just the menu icons (copy command graphic, water mark button etc.) without having to do a screen grab and then crop to just the size of the button in question. Is there either a way to export the icons and convert if necessary to a format that can be used - png, jpg etc. or a freely available set of vectors of the buttons - preferable as this allows magnifying within the document. Any help gratefully received Thanks GreenBoy |

Taking screen shots is likely the easiest way, assuming that you have good software for the purpose. (You can no longer access/edit buttons from within Word, as I'm sure you already know. It used to be possible in Word 97–2000.) The so-called Snipping Tool, built into Windows 7, does a decent job, but there are probably more capable alternatives available. :-)

Hi Stefan
Thanks for the reply - yes I have some good screen capture software, which will do OK, I was just hoping that the icons for the tool-bar buttons were available somewhere that i could use these - saving some time. Never mind, if they are not, then i can still make do. Thanks again for your response. GreenBoy. |
