Default How to set up a portuguese(portugal) spell checking tool on windows 7

On my Office 2007 Word program I don't have the spell checking for Portuguese(Portugal) and I would like to enable it.

It shows on my list of languages but it is not operative.

Is there a way to make it work?

If you have a language version of Office 2007 that includes Portuguese proofing tools, you should be able to enable those in Office Setup (start it from Control Panel | All Control Panel Items | Programs and Features).

If you do not have a language version of Office 2007 that includes Portuguese, what you need is a Portuguese language pack. Unfortunately, these are no longer sold by Microsoft, so you'll have to try getting it from third-party.

I haven't used Word 2007 in years, so I was intentionally vague on the details. :-) However, read the instructions in this article: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ac...503.aspx?CTT=1 (Enable the use of other languages in your Office programs).
