linking files to an online word processor

I have a Google blogspot account and have links on my blog to Google files I have written. The files can be viewed and printed, but not edited. I had to mark the files as "shared".



If I switch to Word files, would there be a way to link the files to the blog so that viewers could read and print the files, but not edit them? I don't want the reader to have to download them to read them.
