editing a number/text at one place and changes taking place wherever it appears
Basically i am working on a finance document with a lot of numbers which are subject to revision. For example the total cost of a project say XXX keeps changing and appears many times within this long document. Is there a way I can change it at one place and the changes are reflected at all the places ?

First, Excel might be a better choice. That said...
Repeating Data (Populating Multiple Like Fields) The ideal might be mapped Content Controls. See also Mapped Content Controls.
