Hi,

I think neither the "two column page" nor the "table" solution is what your looking for.

Have a look at the attached doc. It uses two styles: RightCol for the main body text and LeftCol for the callouts. LeftCol is frame-based style. If you are familiar with Word, you will be able to add / change the styles you need.
