Word - turning off setting for track changes
Hello,
I recently upgraded to Windows 2013 and have the new version of word and everytime I open a document, the "track changes" is default to "on" in my document so even if I switch it to "original" and they go away and I save the document, next time I open it up, it's back on. Lots of red notes all over the place and pdfing is impossible. Help?!! Could it be a virus?! |

Changing the view doesn't turn 'Track Changes' off. To do that, you should click on the 'Track Changes' button on Word's status bar, so that you see 'Track Changes: Off'. This is a document-specific setting, not an application-level setting, so it only affects the documents to which it is applied. For your existing document, you can clear the tracked changes by accepting (or rejecting) them.
