Default Office 2013 Save-As and Open Changes

Just upgraded from Office 2010 to Office 2013.

Using the Open or Save-As command gets me to a screen that no longer shows my Library or Documents. I can get there by clicking one of the recent folders. But this requires at least one additional click.

How do I setup Word and Excel to open the floating "Open" or "Save As" dialog boxes directly, without first accessing the "open" or "save as" full screen page?

Thank you

Click File tab | Options | Save. Select "Don't show the Backstage when opening or saving files." Unfortunately, this won't suffice. You must also stop using the File tab to access the Open and Save As dialog boxes and use keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl+O for Open and F12 for Save As) or add the commands to the Quick Access Toolbar.

Thank you Stefan Blom!

Works perfect. Seems like this box should be checked as a default. I'm surprised more people haven't complained about this, or about the "backstage" in general.

There have been some complaints in the Word forum of the Microsoft community (http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/o...ion&status=all) but nothing indicates that Microsoft will change this behavior.

If you have the Send a Smiley / Send a Frown setting enabled in Office 2013, make use of it.
