I cannot get print layout to match print preview

I have read the explanations.

I don't quite understand what index is. How would you change it?

Also, I copied document into one note and it will print as it looks. Then I copied one note into word and it went back to same problem where left hand page is left out in print preview and actual print

You have to give us more details here... What are you trying to accomplish?

I think you jumped us into the middle of your thought processes here. Are you perhaps continuing a problem-solving session from another thread?

Print View is generally a working editor that gives an approximation of what the document will look like. Print Preview is generally not used for editing and can be a closer approximation. What a printed document gives you depends very much on the printer selected at time of printing.

Text on printer leaves left side off.

I Scanned a copy of a page for OCS.
I then saved it as Word.

However, when I try to print, the right hand side of the document is left off.
If I look in draft or print layout it looks fine.
I just want to print the whole document

Is this an editable document? Unless OCR (optical character recognition) was involved, a scanned document may consist of a (large) picture on each page. If that page doesn't fit in the printable area defined by the printer, you can't print it properly.
