Hi,
I do tech support for a University, and for the most part, our compatibility packs for Office 2007 work. (We use Office XP). However, I'm starting to run across cases where users can not open .docx files, even with the compatibility pack installed. My computer, with version 6021.5000, works find. Their version, (6215.1000), does not work. However, I'm unable to find a download link to the specific 6021.5000 compatibility pack. They are able to SAVE documents as .docx files, but upon opening them, Words asks the file type we want to convert from, and the only options are Plain Text, RTF, HTML... and a few others, but there is no .docx option. So, we either get jumbled wingdings upon opening, or the error "The document name or path is not valid". Any help!? |
