Post Is it possible part of specific text section not to be printed?

Hi all,

On the sample document in attach, I would like the column where the checkbox is selected with an "X" does not appear in the printed document.

Is it possible?

Thks

You could format the font as hidden and set the row heights to 0 for those rows but, unless you use a macro, it's not going to happen automatically. Be aware, too, that once you hide a row, you won't be able to check its checkbox, which means you'll have trouble unhiding the row.

Hi Paul,

Thks for your help, but in fact, I had already thought by formating the font as hidden but, as you said, once hide a row, I won't be able to check its checkbox.

So it's not possible use the "demo macro" that you helped me to build in the attached sample document and include a code in which the rows with the checkbox selected automatically in the end become hidden?

Regards,
Jorge Vieira

Yes, it's possible, but how are you going to unhide those rows?

I think it will not be a problem, because the original document will have all the rows unhide.
So since I will never save the changes on the original document, any time I open it I will have all the rows avaiable to check.

In that case, why not just use the macro I already gave you to delete the rows?

Because that macro will delete the rows unchecked and for the rows checked I don't want the "X" printed on the pdf document.
So my idea would be to add on that macro some code to hide the "x" of the rows checked.
Sorry if I'm not being clear....

Thks

Do you need those checkboxes after the print? If not some code could be added to the macro to delete that column too.

Since it's a docx file (i.e. no macros) it's not apparent to me what your solution might be - nothing changes if I toggle hidden text on/off, for example.

If i run the "Demo" macro automatically the rows not checked are deleted and selected checkboxes are hidden.
