Default Auto scroll - help needed

Hi, I am using Word documents in a form of Karioki (Guitar - ioki) for guitar
where the guitar chords are printed above the words. the idea is as the song is
being played the scroll is started. On many songs there are repeat chorus /
interludes for instrumental solos etc. it is therefore necessary to pause / move back and alter speed, I find this difficult to control with a mouse.
what I am looking for is advice on the best way to operate auto scroll and
if using keys is an option. I have been unable to find any articles or hints on this subject so I would be grateful for any help no matter how small or trivial it may seem.

Thanks

P.S. I am 67 years old so not a computer whizz kid

Word has no such function; it is, after all, a word-processor, not a screen-presentation application. An application like PowerPoint would be better suited to what you're describing.

Yikes. Agree with macropod. This is not something Word will do well. It may be possible but I suspect it would take a bit of fussing by someone who IS a bit of a whizz kid. I think it can be done, and someone may be interested in taking it on a project but I can not at this time.

You may want to look into finding a copy of PrintMusic which has functions like what you describe. It is a dedicated music score application; Word is not. As macropod mentions, it is a word processor.
