Default New Document problem in Office Pro 2000 Word

Whenever I open word I receive a document that we made sometime ago, not a blank document. It is titled Document 1.

I have deleted the document from the computer, removed Office Pro 2000, removed the Microsoft Office folder from programs, ran window washer (including washing the slack space) and reinstalled the Office Pro 2000.

It did not solve the problem.

Any help out there.

I would change the Normal.dot template back to blank, etc...

How for your version of Word, I don't know, so I would go to Word's Help and find out how to "change the Normal.dot template" to what I wanted
