Default Formatting contents after Tab of continuous lines or formatting specific area of word

hello everyone,

i had a data in word like this

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxBodyXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXxxxxXX
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXx

name (tab key pressed) Age
1.Radhika (tab key pressed) - (tab key pressed)56 fifty six
2.Pooja (tab key pressed)-(tab key pressed)97 ninety seven
3.lekha(tab key pressed)-(tab key pressed)85 eighty five
and so on upto 34

i want to format the ages only of all people like bold underline italics etc.
i want my data to be in straight line like this
name age
1.Radhika(tab key pressed) -(tab key pressed)56 fifty six
2.Pooja(tab key pressed) -(tab key pressed)97 ninety seven
3.lekha(tab key pressed) -(tab key pressed)85 eighty five

but when i select 56 and then select lower lines data names are also selected
because we had not used tables and name and age belongs to same line
so is there is any way so that i can format all ages at once like we can do in staroffice app. ie. we can format a particular area of page??
*we can not use tables for name and age they must be in same line

Hi
You can use Alt+drag to do this.
Place your cursor at the beginning of the block you wish to select. Then hold the Alt key down and then drag to the right and downwards to select a block of text. You can then change the format as you wish.
Good luck.
Tony
